What We Believe

Heritage Is Grounded In The Authority And Sufficiency Of Scripture

We affirm historic Baptist convictions, God's sovereign grace, and Reformed theology as summarized in the
1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.

In Summary, We Believe

1

The Authority of Scripture

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:16

The Bible is the infallibly inspired and authoritative Word of God.

2

The Sovereignty of God

"But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased." - Psalm 115:3

God is sovereign in creation, providence, and salvation.

3

Salvation by Grace Alone

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

Salvation is entirely the work of God's grace through Jesus Christ.

4

The Work of Christ

"Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Christ accomplished redemption through His death and resurrection.

5

Justification by Faith

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." - Romans 5:1

Sinners are justified by grace through faith in Christ alone.

6

Regeneration and Preservation

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." - Philippians 1:6

The Holy Spirit regenerates and preserves true believers.

7

The Life of the Church

"And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." - Acts 2:42

The church is called to worship, discipleship, fellowship, and evangelism.
